2016 Winter Blast New, new format and a fundraiser
February 1, 2016
A Saturday night dance and beer tasting will highlight this year’s Winter Blast, an annual event sponsored by the Bay View Neighborhood Association.
This year BVNA revamped the event, renaming it Winter Blast Snow Ball and employing it as a fundraiser for the Humboldt Park skate spot initiative.
It will be held Feb. 20 at the South Shore Park Pavilion. District 14 Brewery will present a beer tasting at 7pm. Dancing will follow from 8-10:30pm.
The admission donation includes the beer-tasting event and appetizers donated by Pietro’s Pizza, Hamburger Mary’s, and Cream City Swirl. Other fare provided by Milwaukee County Parks will be available for purchase.
All proceeds from the Snow Ball will benefit the Skate Spot Initiative at Humboldt Park. The fundraising goal for the Snow Ball is $5000. A 50-50 and other raffles will be part of the event.
The event is sponsored by Toni Spott/Keller Realty, Patty Pritchard Thompson, and Milwaukee County Parks.
BVNA requests a donation of $15 per person. More info: firstname.lastname@example.org and the Bay View Neighborhood Association Facebook page.
