City of Cudahy, School District to host drug awareness seminar
April 2, 2009
The Cudahy Health Department, Police Department and School District are teaming up to host a Drug Awareness Seminar at the Cudahy High School auditorium located at 4950 S. Lake Dr. on Monday, April 13, 2009 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Experts will present their findings on drug activity within Southeastern Wisconsin and offer suggestions on how to prevent drug abuse and addiction.
“Our goal is to educate the community about the dangers of abusing illicit drugs and prescription medications and how kids are getting those drugs. This is a problem facing Southeastern Wisconsin, and we want to be proactive in educating our residents.” Mayor Ryan McCue said.
The Cudahy Police Department will also collect unneeded prescription medications at the seminar. Residents should keep medication in the original package or bottle. They can cross off their name and address, but please do not cover up or remove the name of the medicine.
