New blood at BVNA

Following its annual meeting Feb. 26, the Bay View Neighborhood Association changed the complexion of its leadership and, according to President Patty Pritchard Thompson, is “poised to grow” to be more inclusive of the entire Bay View community. The group has launched a new membership database and started a new standing Economic Development Committee, with a goal to better connect neighbors and local businesses. Here are the current board members:
Patty Pritchard Thompson, president; Stacey Grant-Savela, safety chair; Meagan Holman, economic development chair; Christa Marlowe, environment and transportation chair; Gretchen Theisen, communications chair; Carol Voss, Chill on the Hill chair; Brian Williams-VanKlooster, membership chair; Jenny Aicher; Kerry Dawson; Dale Nook; and Bob Schneider. The Public Spaces Committee chair was still open at press time. This year’s BVNA Chill on the Hill concerts in Humboldt Park feature a 15-week season, June 2-Sept. 1.
