MPS schools and rec. centers closed Jan. 16 and Mon., Jan. 19

Milwaukee Public Schools - MPS - announces that classes for Friday, January 16 are canceled due to the continued cold temperatures and severe wind chillls. MPS Recreation activities for Friday, January 16 are also canceled.

These cold-weather closings have provided a long weekend break of students, who will not be back in our schools until Tuesday, January 20. This is because Monday is the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday, and there will be no student attendance at that time.

Students who use the county buses should note that Milwaukee County Transit System will recognize this week’s student bus passes next Tuesday, until students are provided with the appropriate passes for next week. Please note that all MPS Title 1 ESL parent classes on Saturday have been canceled.
