MPS board to move Fritsche to BVHS building by start of 2010-2011 school year

The MPS Board of Directors took steps this week to amend the charter contract with Gustav A. Fritsche Middle School, relocating the school for next year. Fritsche will remain at its current location, 2969 S. Howell Avenue through the current school year. Next school year Fritsche will operate within the Bay View High School building at 2751 S. Lenox Street. The two schools will share the Lenox Street complex for the 2010-2011 school year, and the following year will become a single school in the Bay View building.

worst idea ever!
take one high level program with multiple awards, programs, room to expand by closing other area schools and has demonstrated success with low income students and merge it with a failed program.
