Cudahy Mayor Ryan McCue said, “At midnight tonight [July 8] residents can resume their normal water usage.  The fire departments are using less water and our water reserves will be at a sufficient level by midnight tonight.  I thank the residents of Cudahy and St. Francis for limiting their water usage, which in turn helped us fight the fire at Patrick Cudahy.”

At midnight tonight Mayor Ryan McCue will also end the State-of-Emergency.  ”By declaring a State-of-Emergency we were able to obtain additional resources from the County, State and Federal Governments to ensure the safety of our emergency personnel and residents.  The fire crews did an excellent job preventing the ammonia tanks from being compromised”, Mayor McCue said.  ”The response we received from southeastern Wisconsin fire and police departments was tremendous.  Cudahy could not have done this alone.  Cudahy is safe and I encourage residents to back to their regular daily lives,” Mayor McCue added.

“I thank everyone for their patients, prayers and support during these trying times.  This was a team effort and resident should be proud of all the City of Cudahy workers that participated,” McCue said.
