Bay View Visitors Map produced

June 29, 2009

Bay View Compass assistant editor Michael Timm headed up a project to produce the Bay View Visitors Map. The idea is to literally put the Bay View business community on the map.

While well-known to local and niche market consumers, the Bay View neighborhood is overlooked in most map/brochure materials promoting Milwaukee to outside visitors. The Bay View Visitors Map will be marketed especially to users of the Lake Express Ferry, to make visitors aware that Bay View exists and show them how to find this vibrant local business scene just minutes from the ferry. Armed with the map, visitors and others who have yet to discover Bay View may eat, drink, and shop locally, benefiting the Bay View business community, increasing its cohesion, and strengthening its identity.

This is the first year the map will be produced. 10,000 copies will be printed. Look for the map at the Lake Express Ferry terminal (both in Milwaukee and Muskegon, Mich.), and businesses that advertise on the map, in early July and throughout the summer.
