ComedySportz celebrates 25 Years

There’s something funny going on in Walker’s Point… ComedySportz Milwaukee is preparing for their exciting and long awaited 25th Anniversary Tournament, aptly titled “Welcome Home.”

ComedySportz is a Milwaukee invention! It began in Milwaukee in 1984, and after great success, has moved worldwide, with groups performing as far away as Manchester England! July 6-11, all of these worldwide comedians will travel back to Milwaukee to celebrate a quarter century of comedy with a week-long celebration and capping the week with eight amazing shows, pitting teams from all over the country against one another.

July 9, the day shows begin, ComedySportz will be holding a “Grand ReOpening” ceremony, which will include a decree from the Mayor’s Office, declaring July 9 “ComedySportz Day” in Milwaukee. Also in attendance for the ceremony will be a Catholic Priest, a Rabbi and Buddhist Priest to bless ComedySportz in the next 25 years.

A thousand surprises and exciting moments will undoubtedly occur in all shows, and it will be a once in a lifetime opportunity!
